In connection with an ongoing collaboration on digital health and ICTs, a two-member delegation of Yaran-e-Watan initiative of Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination (MoNHSR&C), Government of Pakistan, visited COMSATS Telehealth (CTH) Resource Centre housed in CIS Technology Park, on 30th July 2020.
The team, visiting on behalf of the former Prime Minister Special Assistant (SAPM) on Health, Dr. Zafar Mirza, was shown around various technologies and telehealth facilities available with CTH. The delegation also held a meeting with the Executive Director COMSATS, Dr. S.M. Junaid Zaidi, and appreciated the efforts of COMSATS in promoting the use of digital technologies in every field, especially health. Dr. Zaidi extended offer of support to Yaran-e-Watan initiative through its ISP. It was also discussed during the meeting that once the initiative is matured in Pakistan, provisions to link and utilize this platform in other member states of COMSATS can be explored.
