A delegation comprising of faculty members and students belonging to community colleges of USA, visited COMSATS Secretariat, Islamabad on 18th June 2019. The delegation was received by Gen (R) Muhammad Tahir, Advisor China Desk, COMSATS, along with other officials of COMSATS Secretariat.

After exchanging pleasantries, Gen (R) Tahir apprised the delegation of COMSATS programmes, flagship projects, achievements and future plans. The delegates took keen interest in COMSATS’ projects and initiatives in particular COMSATS’ Centre for Climate & Sustainability (CCCS) and COMSATS Tele-Health (CTH) project. They were also appreciative of COMSATS’ efforts for the promotion of science and technology in the developing region. Further during the meeting, discussions were held where the participants exchanged views on matters pertaining to socio-economic development in view of the emerging global needs.

The meeting ended with a resolve to work together in the areas of mutual interest.
