The Executive Director COMSATS, Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, hosted Iftar Reception, on March 26, 2024, in Islamabad. The event was graced by Pakistan’s Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, H.E. Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja with her presence. The Ambassadors/diplomats of Azerbaijan, Ethiopia, Ghana, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kenya, Morocco, Malaysia, Iran, Iraq, Indonesia, Palestine, Syria and Tunisia, attended the reception. Moreover, the heads/senior officials of international organizations, academic institutions, S&T organizations, public departments and private sector, as well as high ranking military officers participated in the event.

   

In his brief remarks at the occasion, Ambassador Zakaria highlighted the importance of international cooperation in science and technology for providing tech-based solutions for various global challenges. He welcomed and thanked the guests for their participation. The event provided means to discuss and forge scientific cooperation and conduct constructive engagement and networking. The attendance of various stakeholders served as a testament to COMSATS’ commitment to fostering South-South and Triangular cooperation in science and technology for the collective benefit of humanity.
