The Executive Director of COMSATS, Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, called on the Federal Secretary Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), Government of Pakistan, Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Memon, at his office in Islamabad.

Dr. Memon, who is also the ex-officio Chairperson of COMSATS Consultative Committee, congratulated Ambassador Zakaria on his appointment as Executive Director of COMSATS. The Executive Director apprised the Federal Secretary about the upcoming Coordinating Council meeting. The 24th meeting of the Council is to be held in Karachi this month and will be hosted by COMSATS Centre of Excellence in Karachi, the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS).

Ambassador Zakaria appreciated Pakistan’s Ministry of Science & Technology for steadfast support and cooperation with COMSATS being a focal ministry in the host country. Both officials agreed on promoting Science, Technology and Innovation in line with the fundamental objective of the organization by adopting practical approaches with tangible outcomes.

Mr. Ghulam Muhammad Memon wished Dr. Zakaria a successful tenure and assured him of the Ministry of Science and Technology’s continued support to COMSATS.
