Digital Skills Training Program for Pakistani youth in Merged Areas

COMSATS is executing a digital skill training program for the domiciled youth of the Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) of Pakistan, under the Project “Merged Areas Digital Connect”. The training services are being provided by COMSATS under an agreement with the Science & Technology and Information Technology Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, signed on 29th January 2024.

The initiative aims to train 7,250 Pakistani youth in the areas including Web Design and Development, Graphics Design, Mobile App Development, Business Intelligence, and e-Commerce, imparting them with the tools to thrive in the digital economy.

So far, 1,981 individuals have been trained in the areas of Web Design and Development, Graphics Design and e-Commerce.

In addition to the training, the project includes development of a Learning Management System (LMS)/Webportal.

HAZZA Institute of Technology, a Technology Partner and Collaborator of COMSATS (the Lead Partner) are together implementing the project.
