Islamabad, March 11, 2024. The Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS) and EZShifa Pvt Ltd, today formalized a Memorandum of Understanding for the provision and advancement of Telehealth and telemedicine services, and leveraging technology and operations, with a common vision of making quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all.
COMSATS is an intergovernmental organization of 27 developing countries focused at promoting S&T development of its Member States, and has a flagship program on Telehealth since 2001. Whereas, EZShifa is a health-tech company with a vision to provide accessible, affordable, and quality primary healthcare for all.
The agreement was signed by Ambassador Dr. M. Nafees Zakaria, Executive Director COMSATS, and Dr. Adnan Siddiquie, Chief Operating Officer EZShifa for their respective institutions. The agreement will strengthen COMSATS’ Telehealth program for its Member States, enriching it with technological options for telemedical consultations. Moreover, the MOU provides grounds for collaboration in developing technology products, particularly biomedical devices, as well as academic/training activities.
