The meeting was chaired by the Rector CIIT, Dr. S. M. Junaid Zaidi, and was attended by Pakistani experts from local universities as well as those working abroad.

CIIT is to convene an exclusive meeting of the thematic research group on ICTs during the first quarter of 2011 to deliberate on matters relating to the launching of the research project. The members of this group are: TIRDO-Tanzania; RSS-Jordan; IRCC-Sudan; and NMC-Nigeria. The purpose of the recently held preparatory meeting was to outline the preliminary matters relating to identification of a project proposal, project leader, participating organizations, date, venue, and tentative agenda.

Meetings of two Thematic Research Groups, one on ‘Natural Product Sciences’ and the other on ‘Climate Change and Environmental Protection’, have already been organized during November 2010 in Karachi, Pakistan, and Beijing, China, respectively.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
