On 30 April 2026, COMSATS held a meeting with representatives of Oxford Policy Management (OPM), Pakistan, to explore potential avenues for collaboration in addressing shared development challenges in common member countries, particularly Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, Executive Director of COMSATS; Mr. Abdur Rauf Khan, Country Director, OPM Pakistan; Mr. Azfar Ansari, Policy Engagement Officer, OPM Pakistan; and Dr. Mehwish Durani, Director, International Partner Organizations and Head, COMSATS Centre for Climate and Sustainability (CCCS).
Discussions focused on identifying areas of mutual interest, including education, health, climate change, capacity-building, and knowledge exchange. Both sides recognized the importance of integrated and evidence-based approaches to addressing increasingly complex development challenges, exacerbated by climate change, socio-economic disparities, and global uncertainties.

The meeting reflected the shared commitment of COMSATS and OPM to advancing sustainable development through strategic partnerships, research-driven interventions, and policy engagement. It concluded with a mutual understanding to explore formal collaboration, including the possible development of a Memorandum of Understanding to define specific areas of cooperation.
